LEGO ENGINEERING AND
ROBOTICS
(2016 Summer Camp)
The Brain Club had very successful summer camps called Summer Mania 2015 (see details below). This year, we'll be offering LEGO Engineering and Robotics Summer Camp for small groups (4 students/class). Click here for more information.
These were fun filled, education oriented summer camp for boys and girls ages 8-13 years.
Kids enjoyed 5-days (20hrs) of educational activities where they?ll learn new things while having a blast! Various subjects are offered as a medley of fun filled activities during the 5-day camp.
These include LEGO® Robotics (building and programming robots), Story Master (language arts via building LEGO® models, popular movie characters and additional reading/writing activities), Digital Art (learn about classic art like Van Gogh, Picasso and Matisse to modern art for Angry Birds, Despicable Me and Toy Story movie characters and create original digital art), LEGO® Motorized Machines (building exciting motorized models using scientific and engineering concepts), Game Quizzes (puzzles/mind benders, general knowledge and science quizzes).
Each camp participant received a free t-shirt, free daily snacks and prizes for superior participation throughout camp activities.

DIGITAL ART

In this interactive course, students will learn to create amazing digital art using iPad technology.
Taught by digital art expert, kids will learn how digital art is used in movies, magazines, comics, video games and more. Kids will create lots of digital art which they will take home in hard and soft copies of their work. Kids will explore different types of digital art using interactive apps and games.
Kids will create a final project that will be shared with the class for discussion and appreciation.

LEGO®
MOTORIZED
MACHINES

Students discover firsthand advanced mechanical concepts, pneumatics and renewal energy by building and exploring.
Students will build motorized models learning important scientific concepts like callibrating, capturing wind energy and studying gearing mechanism. Students will use iPads (provided in class) as a research tool and build advance models using LEGO Education kits.

STORY MASTER

Excellent activity based course to enhance language arts for elementary level children.
This course uses a combination of elements to augments children's ability in reading, writing, story-telling and creativity. We use the LEGO Education and Story Starter Kit together with software and iPad apps to create and publish original stories. Kids have a lot of fun while learning vital language skills.

Visual Programming

In this course, students learn programming principles using extremely intuitive iPad apps. Instead of learning codes, students learn to use logic and problem solving skills using method/command blocks to complete programming projects.
All course material is appropriate for students with no programming experience. iPads and apps are provided in class.

LEGO® INCREDIBLE ROBOTS

Students learn vital science, technology, engineering and mathematics skills in this course.
Students use LEGO Robotics construction kits and software to create working robotic models. Students will be able to build LEGO models featuring working motors and sensors; program their models; and explore a series of cross-curricular, theme-based activities.
